The Birch Forest furniture collection was inspired by the beauty of birch bark. The natural patterns of birch bark are unique, each one different and beautiful in its own way. This furniture collection honors this natural material and represents it in a simple, modern style.

Geometric shapes, primarily squares and cylinders, form the base of the design language. In this way, the birch bark is highlighted and becomes the main character in the furniture collection.

To preserve the natural appearance of the birch bark, the surface is brushed gently and sealed with a natural oil and wax mixture. The birch wood and birch plywood surfaces are treated with white pigments and sealed with natural oil and wax, which enhances the wood’s grain and brings a fresh lightness to the surface.

This collection consists of two different sideboards, a table, a stool, and wall elements.

The front of the angular sideboard is divided into squares, all the same size. This creates a timeless and modern appearance. Behind each square is a door, with hidden handles designed as an unobtrusive gap at the top of each door. The furniture appears to float on short, white-varnished legs with a fascinating cylindrical surface.

Rounded edges and long legs are the key elements of the second sideboard, which has a more playful appearance. The top and bottom boards, made of birch plywood, frame the birch bark surface. This sideboard can be used as a room divider; one side has doors, while the other has a closed birch bark surface. This furniture floats on long, white-varnished legs with cylindrical surfaces.

The design of the table features a solid, playful leg and a lightweight tabletop. The leg is inspired by small birch trees and consists of four cylinders merged into one, covered with birch bark. The round tabletop is made from solid birch wood, treated with white pigments and sealed with natural oil and wax.

A cylindrical stool with a soft, moss-like cushion complements this furniture collection. The birch bark-covered cylinders are made of two parts, with a visible vertical seam. The soft, round cushion is available in light green or grey and is made from recycled wool. Inside the stool is practical storage space, accessible by removing the cushion.

Round wall elements with a birch bark surface bring a piece of Finnish birch forest to your walls. Made from thin birch plywood and birch bark, these elements can be arranged in groups or used as individual pieces. They are available in three different sizes, and an integrated hanging system makes them easy to mount.

The entire collection is designed and made in Finland, using Finnish materials.
